Often, however, people neglect

to consider the adjustments

that are necessary in order

to create a full or part time life here.


If you purchased raw land you must

seriously verify your property lines.


It is the responsibility of the property owner

to know where the property lines are.

For owners who are contemplating a permanent move

to Harbor Point it is very important that before

you build or erect any structure that you know

exactly where your property is located.

The only absolute method is to have

the property surveyed by a certified surveyor.

Every Location in Harbor Point that is

occupied is required to have a 911 Address.

 

 

 This is also a requirement of Trinity County

and the 356 Trinity County VFD.

 

You may call  936-642-3904 to obtain your 911 address.

(Office hours: Monday – Thursday 7am – 5pm)

If you do not have a 911 address you may not receive

EMS or Fire Service in a timely manner.

 

 

Mailbox & Key

 

You first must obtain a 911 address.

(You may call 936-642-3904 to obtain your 911 address.)

(Office hours: Monday – Thursday 7 a.m. – 5 pm)

Go to the post office in Trinity and request a Harbor Point Mailbox.

You will be ask for your 911 address. Please check your mail at least

every other day. The boxes are small. If your box is filled up the

post office will remove your mail and send it back.

 

If you are a week-ender and receive your mail elsewhere please

do not receive mail here and do not request a mailbox. Boxes are limited

and the HPPOA (All of Us Owners) must pay for adding more mailboxes.

 

Note: If you plan to be out of town and would like your mail held for

a week or two you must call the Trinity Postmaster at:

Having this phone number in your cell phone may prove

useful in the future. If you are sick and are unable to make it

to your mailbox, sending a friend is a great idea.

 

Remember a Full Mailbox Might Be the Sign that you no

longer live at this address and mail Might Be Returned as Undeliverable.

New Service can be quite expensive.

If your property does not already have a meter

you should contact Sam Houston Electric Co-Op (SHECO).

HPPOA has dumpsters located at the Southwest corner of Harbor Point Dr.

& Lakeside Loop (South) just past the campgrounds.

 

Dumpsters are for HOUSEHOLD REFUSE ONLY.

 

 

NO Batteries - NO Mattresses - NO Metal. Hopefully You Get The Idea.

The Dumpsters are emptied Most Monday and Friday Mornings.

 

The Trash Cans located around Harbor Point are for trash at that location.

 

Example: Mailbox Trash Can is for mail trash, not your household trash.

PLEASE take household Trash to the Dumpsters.

Telephone Service is provided by Windstream.

Service is relatively inexpensive as telephone

lines run all over the Harbor Point.

 

Windstream now provides DSL service to Harbor Point

and has a Hub located next to the Swimming Pool.

Trinity area has an excellent EMS services and a

Volunteer Fire Department which can be reached by dialing 911.

The nearest emergency medical facility is in Huntsville.
