Robert “Bob” Lee Caravas

 

A memorial service for

Robert “Bob” Lee Caravas, 65

was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011

at the Waller-Thornton Chapel in Trinity

with the Rev. Mike Loftin officiating.

 

Mr. Caravas died Monday, Sept. 26, in Houston.

He was born Nov. 21, 1945 in Columbus, Ind.

 

The son of George and Iva Gene Thelma Caravas,

 

Mr. Caravas retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service

and from Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, Calif. after 23 years of service.

 

He had been a resident of Trinity for the past

four years and was a member of the Trinity County

Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6988.

 

Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years

Deborah Caravas; his parents, George and Ima Gene Thelma Caravas

a sister-in-law and her spouse, Patty and Tim Marean

 

A brother-n-law and his spouse

Lloyd and Bonnie Burger

 

Aunts and uncles Charlon and Luis Cardenas

Shelby Cobey, Lola Johnson, Jerry Musick, Houston Musick

Nettie Fowler and George Musick

and a number of nephews, nieces and friends.

 

Waller-Thornton Funeral Home of Trinity directed the arrangements.
